1. Bonus miles: Earn 2,000 bonus miles with the Platinum Card when spending £1,500 in foreign currency within the first 12 months of Cardmembership, or 5,000 bonus miles with the Black Card when spending £3,500 in foreign currency within the first 12 months. 2. American Airlines Bonus: Customers who create their Card by 11:59pm UK time on 30 March 2027 and spend £250 or more with their AAdvantage® Debit Card on items billed by American Airlines as merchant within the first 12 months of Cardmembership, can earn an additional 2,000 (Platinum) or 5,000 bonus miles (Black). Items that do not qualify are car rentals, hotel reservations, “American Airlines Vacations℠ Packages”, and AACargo℠ products and services. 4. Turbo Miles: AAdvantage® Mastercard Black Card Cardholders can optionally choose to activate the Turbo Miles feature in app. When enabled, transactions made in foreign currencies will incur a Realtime Rate + 2.95% exchange fee, and will earn an accelerated rewards rate of 2 miles per £1 spent. Based on a comparison of UK airline-branded loyalty cards as of June 2026, this earning rate represents the highest mileage rate available on international spend, outperforming standard UK premium airline credit and debit cards reward structures.

6. Miles never expire: American Airlines AAdvantage® miles will not expire as long as you earn or redeem miles once every 24 months on American Airlines, an affiliated carrier or with an American Airlines AAdvantage® partner. If you’re a primary AAdvantage® debit cardholder or under 21 years of age, your miles will not expire. See full terms here.
7. Unlimited Loyalty Points: Receive 1 Loyalty Point per base mile earned from eligible purchases, successful referrals (1,000 points and miles per referral), and through Roundup Miles and Turbo Miles purchases. 8. Priority check-in and Preferred (Group 5) boarding: Available exclusively to primary AAdvantage® Mastercard® Black Cardholders on flights marketed and operated by American Airlines. Priority Check-in applies only to flights departing from London Heathrow (LHR), regardless of ticket class, and cardholders must present a valid Black Card at the premium check-in desk to access the benefit. Preferred (Group 5) boarding is applied to the cardholder’s boarding pass at check-in. Benefits are subject to operational availability and airport operational constraints and are not guaranteed if boarding has already commenced or in the event of aircraft changes.
